So rain does not affect AI and it slows down the player. Oh yah 1:26 was my fastest while the ai was still at 1:28 for their fastest. Its not the line its the car being slowed down unrealistically for some reason and the AI is not bogged down like we are. Suddenly i can reach the top speed way higher on that straight and i do a 1:25. i qualify last with that 1:33 while the Ai does 1:28, Race time the rain is gone. On the straight and some turn the Ai is way faster than you. Low fuel the car has minimal adjustment you can do. I cannot do better than 1:33 or something ridiculous like that. Its like when there is rain your car is stuck in mud and wont reach max speed.įor example Career - Formula Rookie on VIR - the qual is in the rain. The AI programming isn’t sophisticated enough to get anywhere near Racing a real person.sadly If you were to have to AI slowed by the puddles and you reduced the AI top speed,what would happen.Your on pole.you win easily.that gets a bit boring.so it is how it is. It’s accepted the AI in Pcars isn’t the best.they try to balance the performance to give you a competitive race.so qualifying is USUALLY where the AI will be very fast then in the race they are quite a bit slower. Prior to the last patch, the Ai were stupidly slow in a wet race,it is better now but still needs adjusting.
I agree 100% about the rain,and def the puddles (though the puddles are less dangerous than they were before the patch). I race AI at 100% and its true they edge away a little in the higher gears, but im still winning.Īnother factor can be that the AI at 100% just get out of the corners better and so are faster down the straights.Getting fast lap times in Pcars2 is not like it was in Pcars1, especially getting out of corners fast.
